āIām always thinking about creating. My future starts when I wake up in the morning and see the light.ā
ā Miles Davis
It is no exaggeration that I think about gluten free sourdough more times a day than I care to count. Once I learned that nutritious and delicious gluten free bread could in fact be made, my brain has been on overdrive. I am positive that there can be just as many gluten free sourdough recipes as there are wheat based sourdough recipes. I also know there is a need and desire for these kinds of recipes. People are returning to their kitchens and their roots. The problem is, we need approachable and accessible information on how to achieve it when one has to be gluten free! I am hoping to bridge that gap. For the last 4 years, I have been obsessively working on GF sourdough recipes. I am so excited to start sharing them with you.
For a long time, 15+ years, I refused to learn how to bake gluten free bread. I simply believed that good gluten free bread could not be a reality. This false belief was based on my experience with store bought, pre-made gluten free breads. As most of you already know, the store bought breads are packed with starches and gums and what I like to call ānon-foodā ingredients. Not only do these breads cause me digestive unrest, they are also lacking in the flavor and texture departments. These breads fill a void on the table, but they donāt fill a basic desire, and frankly need, for delicious, satisfying and simple food. My recipes will help you do more than āfill a voidā, they are going to help you rejoice in satiation, from your stomach to your soul.

The long term goal with this account is to help you build the necessary skills to successfully bake and share delicious gluten free sourdough. We will start with basic bread and discard recipes and work our way up to the more difficult recipes. As we build on your skills, I will give detailed instructions, help you troubleshoot and build a community in this space.
I will publish my first GF sourdough bread recipe next Wednesday, May 1st. I will also be turning on paid subscriptions with this recipe. From this point forward, you can expect 3 recipes a month as well as an informational post. The informational posts will include troubleshooting advice, my favorite brands, Q & Aās, etc. I will offer one free recipe a month and it will most likely be a GF discard recipe.
My encouragement is for you to gather your supplies, ingredients and equipment! We start your gluten free baking journey next week! Share the news and links with your friends, so our gluten free sourdough community can grow!
Iām so excited and hope you are too!
With gratitude,
