The stems are THE WORST and seem to take up half the bag! Lol! And I agree, I love to mix up the types of kale I use, depending on what looks the best at the store/farmers market.
There has to be some kind of machine that takes out kale/chard/spinach stems in the factory right? Or maybe that's a million dollar idea the salad industry desperately needs??
I think you just came up with a billion dollar idea! Maybe it is too expensive, or too much food waste for them to get rid of the stems? They make great compost.

I agree, what's with all the kale stems in all the bagged mixes that include kale? Plus this way you can use flat kale which I like SOOO much better!
